Acting on behalf of Canada Life on their retail warehouse park at Anchor Retail Park, Hartlepool, Pudney Shuttleworth successfully agreed a lease re-gear on Matalan’s 20,000 sq ft unit, whereby Matalan agreed to a new 10 year lease on new rental terms. This comes shortly after other tenants (Next and Boots) also renewing their leases, making this premier retail park a stable, long term investment holding for the Landlord.
The former Carphone Warehouse unit of 2,700 sq ft is currently the only vacant unit on the whole retail park, and this is now under offer to two separate retailers, based on a split of the unit. Solicitors have been instructed, and when the transactions are completed, this will make the retail park fully let.
